Do insurance companies pay the provider directly for services rendered?

Some insurance companies do. We advise you to contact your insurance provider for details. Also, ask them key questions like:

  1. Do I need a doctors note to be covered by my insurance for massage therapy?
  2. Is my coverage based on a calendar year or a rolling year and when does it start?
  3. What is my limit per year?
  4. Is there a set limit for each of massage, chiropractic and physiotherapy or it is grouped together with one nominal pay out for all of them?
  5. Does my insurance offer direct billing to a service provider?

Are your services covered by OHIP?

Our services are not covered by OHIP, but many employee or private based insurances offer these benefits.

Do you have Gift Certificates?

Yes, we do have gift certificates available. You may purchase gift certificates for any denomination or by treatment offered.

Is my health information confidential?

Your personal information is an important part of providing you with proper health care and it is kept completely confidential. The staff at Absolute Therapeutics, who may come into contact with your personal information, are aware of the sensitivity and respectful of this. Disclosure of your personal information is not given unless you have given the clinic proper written authority.

Do I have to get undressed?

You are asked to undress to your comfort level. Some clients fully disrobe for their treatments while others leave some of their undergarments on. Whatever you choose, your massage therapist will act in a professional manner and provide you with the best possible care. Some clothing may interfere with the natural flow of your massage or hinder some of the techniques used. Your therapist will explain this to you and they may have to change their approach but not the quality of your treatment.

At no time during your massage will you be exposed; meaning, the only part of your body that will uncovered is the section that we are treating. It is important to remember that you always have the right to stop, or alter your treatment or ask your therapist questions. If you are feeling uncomfortable, please inform your therapist immediately.

What happens if I miss or cancel an appointment?

We recognize that unforeseen situations may occur and there may be times that you will have to cancel an appointment with short notice or miss one entirely; therefore, we do offer a courtesy, No charge missed appointment for these occasions. It is your therapists discretion as to when you are charged for these appointments.

What should I expect from your clinic?

Our therapists are helpful, professional and courteous. Our scent free clinic is comfortable and cozy while remaining therapeutic. The treatment rooms are clean and warm and offer space to hang up your garments during treatment. We have a professionally installed ceiling mounted sound system in the waiting and treatment rooms to create that full luxurious spa experience.

It is important to follow the home care given to you by your health care provider to ensure lasting results for any treatment given.
